Its construction began in the last during the third part of the 12th Century. It was built from sandstorm stone, extracted from La Calilla, which provides it with a curious look. Its plan has a latin-cross shape with three naves; the choir and the cloister were added to it during during the 15th and 16th centuries. The most remarkable element in the temple, is the ambulatory, double space made from veined stone separated by Romanic columns and which chapels in the zone of the apse. There is a museum inside the cathedral, where we will find a great variety of sacred art, where we can find the marvellous guarded corpus, with is considered to be one of the best five in the world.
