INFANTADO PALACE
This is the architectonic jewel of guadalajara. It belonged to the Mendoza family. During the Civil War a fire destroyed a great part of it: currently, the only remaining parts are the front, the central courtyard, the coffering of the hunter’s room, the paints of the first floor and some tiles. The wonderful cofferings, remarkable works of the Spanish art, where destroyed by the fire. During the 60’s and 70’s it was rebuilt, the Provincial Museum of Art was installed in the ground floor and the Library and Provicial Historic Registry where installed in the upper floors.
