
Alcázar
The place that was previously occupied by romans, visigoths and arabs, is currently occupied by the fortressed palace, el Alcazar, which was ordered by Carlos V. It was set on fire three times and was almost destroyed in 1936 after the blockade of the republican army. Its reconstruction took place following the original planns, and currently it is used as a military museum.
