Its city-walls are one of the emblematic symbols of city. They border the city for as long as two kilometers. There are big contrasts in this city: the lively market, the silent churches, convents, chapels, palaces and the magnificent cathedral. In terms of food, it has an excellent gastronomy, including some typical sweets such as yemas de Santa Teresa. In 1985 it was declared to be a World Heritage City. |
